Elisa West earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Music Education at Howard Payne University and a Master of Music in Performance at The Boston Conservatory. 

Mrs. West is beginning her thirteenth year of teaching. She is currently in her fifth year as Choral Director at Peet Jr. High School. Before teaching at the Jr. High level, Mrs. West taught as the Head Choral Director for Coppell High School in Coppell, TX, as an Adjunct Voice Instructor and later as a Visiting Professor for Sam Houston State University, and as a K-6 General Music and Choir Teacher at Deretchin Elementary here in Conroe ISD. Mrs. West is a active member of Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association. This summer she served as the Soprano Section Leader for TCDA's State Junior High Honor Choir. 

Mrs. West is extremely proud of the award winning Peet JH Choirs! For four years straight, every competing Peet Choir has received Sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading. In 2014 the PJHS Chamber Choir won Best in Class for their performance at the Spring High School Splashtown Choral Festival, and in February of 2016 the Chamber Choir was honored to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association’s State Convention! 

Mrs. West just celebrated twenty years of marriage to Clay West, the head choir director at Conroe High School. The West's have a son, Kyler, who is a junior at Conroe High School, and a daughter, Maryn, who is an 8th grader at Peet Junior High School.
